I’ve done many different things for charity, but did I ever think boxing would be one of them… absolutely not!

When Graham called me and explained the project and the great causes that the money would be going to I jumped at the opportunity.

Whilst we were raising money for some amazing charities, the personal effect it had on myself and the group was massive. As retired former professional footballers we all still yearn for that purpose. This event gave me that purpose.

After six weeks of being put out of my comfort zone and learning new skills, to be able to get in that ring would be quite daunting for some but I loved every moment of it .

The boxing was one thing , the event as a whole was unbelievable. I had family and friends in attendance that had an absolute ball.

Credit to Graham and the crew for putting on such a top event I look forward to seeing how far this can go in the future .
